Description:
This is what a starter piano should be.  Full size, well
maintained and affordable!
The Kimball Piano Co. is synonymous with the term,
an "American Made" piano.  Produced continuously
from 1857 to 1996, Kimball was one of the last
holdouts of the American piano manufacturers, but
could no longer complete at their level of quality and
still produce in the USA.  So, instead of moving
production to Asia, the piano division folded in
mid-1996.
From first glance you would not believe that this piano
was made in 1982 - but Kimball built them to last.  In
addition, this piano was constructed at a time when
attention to detail - both in the internal workings and
cabinetry - was still in vogue and pride in workmanship
was considered as standard (note the nicely carved
music rack).
This 42" console is in excellent condition showing little
playing time but boasting a consistent tuning record.
Sold locally, the piano has seasoned well and
developed its full tone.
As illustrated by the photograph, the action is clean
and free of any corrosion.  The soundboard is also in
excellent condition.
The tone of the piano ranges from mellow to bright in
direct relation to soft to hard dynamics.
Cosmetically the piano is also in good condition
showing only normal signs of family wear. The piano
also features the original padded bench.
All pedals function optimally as do all moving parts,
including the key cover.
