If you're musical ear favors the tone of a Steinway, Schimmel, etc., but your
budget does not follow along, consider the new Young Chang grand piano.
This Young Chang grand was featured at a presentation at Lincoln Center
(The Juilliard School) in NYC. As such, we got a great deal on it and are
passing th savings on!
The Young Chang pianos of today have the new Del Fandrich designs.
While Yamaha continues to be a popular and well constructed piano
overall, the problem for many is in its tone.
Whether you're playing softly or hard, the tone is always bright. This is not
the traditional way a piano was designed to sound. A Steinway (for
example) is designed after the human voice. In every grand piano there is a
treble, also, tenor and bass string range. When the human voice sounds at
a low volume, it is soft in tone. Accordingly, when the voice is yelling, it is a
much harsher and brighter tone, thus emulating the full tonal range.
The Young Chang piano, as a Steinway, allows you to do the same. Young
Chang pianos use a lower tension scale along with the cold pressed
hammers to give them a warm rich tone. The floating soundboard and
direct coupled bass bridge enhances the bass response even in the
smallest grands. Young Chang grands also feature AA Solid Spruce
